It’s three years since Mark died – although it feels like yesterday to me.  Over 1,000 days that Lucas has been without his Dad.  It’s the sad, hard realities of life without Mark that we feel the most; missed moments shared together, missed birthdays, seeing Lucas learn to ski, ride a bike, and of course we miss being a part of countless bike races.

It’s not just Lucas & I who miss Mark; it humbles me to say that the broader cycling community also notices cycling without Mark, especially here in Australia. Mark simply loved to capture the sport of cycling quietly from behind his lens. He was incredibly dedicated and passionate about his work.

It’s our third year, and we’re proud to be working with CyclingTips again for the 2018 Mark Gunter Photographer of the Year Awards. This year, I am so excited to see the images come in.  If it’s anything like the last two years, they will be amazing.

Once again, all the money raised is being donated to help cure cancer and to go towards our Young Cyclist Assistance program. So entering is not just a chance to win some great prizes, and have your images seen by thousands, plus it’s also a way to give back to our community.

See all the highlights on CyclingTips’s instagram page and at the hashtag #markgunterphotoawards2018.

Good luck to you and thank you for being part of something special.

Leeanne, Mark’s wife.
