It is with great pleasure that CyclingTips and I – Leeanne Gatien, Mark Gunter’s wife – can confirm that the funds raised from the entry fees to the 2019 Mark Gunter Photographer of the Year Awards have been finalised and passed on.

This year the entry fees were used for the cash prizes in the Professional categories, and we were privileged to have Eloise Mavian – who took out 2nd prize in the Professional category – donate her entire cash prize of AUD$750 and another AUD$300 from Alex Broadway – who won the Professional category.  Thank you.

The generous donations from Eloise and Alex meant that we were able to give away two Young Cyclists Assistance grants this year. Our two Young Cyclist Assistance awardees; Cesar Gavita from Columbia and Keira Will from Australia each received AUD$1,000 for their successful nomination and the remaining money raised donated to Tour de Cure, a purely dedicated cycling charity here in Australia.
